Flexibility is essential in every Performance Group Student.
A strong level of coordination.
Be able to perform jumps with elevation.
Have stage presence and theatrical expression.
Treat everyone with kindness and respect and encourage each other
Parents are required to ensure their child attends all lessons and does so in the correct attire and footwear. As Performance Group students perform more regularly throughout the year, it is the parents job to ensure they are at all of these performances and rehearsals.
Costs/Fees
Performance Group students fees must be paid on time - this includes both class and costume invoices.
Purchase of a costume which is approximately $110 per costume, per group. Due to previous situations we will be invoicing for costumes from the 4th week of enrolments. The costume invoice must be paid prior to costumes being ordered and is non-refundable.
A Performance Group Jacket is mandatory and these must be worn to every eisteddfod and Performance Group event.
Please note that some groups will have multiple costumes.
Fees will not be reduced due to missed classes, family holidays, starting late in the term, etc. Or if there is a clash with an eisteddfod or dance event, these are out of my control and can’t be predicted. I give extra classes with my staff leading up to eisteddfods and concerts, free of charge. Please do not ask for reductions as they will not be given.
Additional Costs include - Workshops held in April school holidays. These are compulsory.
There is a wonderful camaraderie being part of performance groups and with that comes a high level of
commitment to the student’s attendance, performance and dedication to dance.
An opportunity for your child to perform on stage in full costume and makeup in a competition environment.
We believe this grows incredible confidence and maturity as young dancers and prepares them for the possibility of a professional future in dance.
These classes are a fun environment where we work hard at extending your child’s strength, flexibility and dance skills.
Students are exposed to a variety of classes, dance styles and teachers including some of Australia's leading choreographers and dancers
This class is exclusively for our performance group students.
Testimonials
Katapult is a wonderful dance school! My daughter is a senior student and has always been taught and mentored by professional teachers with amazing talent - she absolutely loves going to dance! The Principal, Miss Katja has made the school into a fun and loving environment but also challenges her students to work hard and achieve their best. I have been very impressed with Miss Katja’s concern and care for the health and wellbeing of all her students. The dancing community created at Katapult is amazing - we love it and the concerts are outstanding!!

Katapult Performing Arts continues to be an amazing dance school for my daughters. The teachers are professional, approachable and knowledgeable. They have a passion and love for dance, and provide a positive and supportive environment for students.
Katja is an inspirational dance studio principal. She is friendly, enthusiast and very dedicated to the school and its students. She has taught all three of my daughters over the past 12 years and has always ensured they are enjoying their dancing, whilst encouraging them to grow and develop as dancers.
Katapult Performing Arts is more than just a dance studio – lifetime friendships are made, and valuable life skills such as resilience, self confidence, respect and teamwork are developed.
I highly recommend Katapult Performing Arts to anyone looking to join a wonderful dance school.
