TODAYS DANCER IS REQUIRED TO BE A TRIPLE THREAT:
DANCER, SINGER AND ACTOR TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
HAVING A DIVERSE TRAINING IN ALL GENRES ALLOWS STUDENTS GREATER SUCCESS IN AN EVER CHANGING INDUSTRY.
KATAPULT HAS EVOLVED DUE TO THESE DEMANDS AND HAS INTRODUCED A WIDER AND VARIED SELECTION OF THE ARTS TO SUIT AND CATER THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT.
Royal Academy Of Dance (RAD) Ballet
Age: 5 years +
Classical Ballet is the most graceful and elegant form of dance.
Ballet is an important base for a dancer's technique and helps to promote correct posture and improve flexibility and athleticism.
Katapult Performing Arts follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus

Primary Ballet, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 4, Grade 5, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced One

Lyrical
Age: 6 years +
Lyrical builds on a strong centre and combine movement and fluidity with classical ballet foundations.
Soft and flowing movement, use of emotion and floor work, flexibility training.

Jazz
Age: 2 years +
Jazz is a fun, energetic popular form of dance and it is a great way to keep fit while dancing to the latest music.
These classes also focus on stability, musicality, strength and flexibility in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
High energy & upbeat - kicks, turns, jumps. Rhythm & Co-ordination.

Lil Groovers
Age: 2 years - 6 years
Our petit classes are the perfect introduction to dance for your child.

Street style dance which is free, funky, soulful and a trendy expression of movement to the latest music.

Contemporary
Age: 10 years +
Contemporary builds on a strong centre and combine movement and fluidity with classical ballet foundations.
Both sharp and smooth movement. Dramatic and dynamic choreography

Musical Theatre
Age: 5 years +
Musical Theatre classes incorporate singing, dancing and dramatic skills from musicals.
Students will develop all aspects of performance and musical theatre.

Tap
Age: 5 years +
Tap is a fast, fun form of dance. It's a combination of old and modern freestyle tap dancing, from Fred Astaire to Tap Dogs.
Students are graded based on skill level - please reach out to our staff to discover the level best suited for your child

With 2 fully equipped studios in one convenient location, Katapult has fast become the place to go for students of any level to develop and sustain their chosen craft.
Established in the year 2000, our studio continues to provide a family atmosphere that encourages self-expression and enjoyment in dance and theatre.
